Product Review – Schick Hydro® 5 Sensitive Razor
|For years shaving has not been a picnic for me. Razor burn and sensitive skin plagued me and the choices in great quality, affordable razors out there leave much to be desired. When I had the opportunity to try the Schick Hydro® 5 Sensitive Razor I was still somewhat skeptical that the razor was going to be any better than others that I’ve tried. However, I was willing to test it out and I have to say overall I’m pleased with the results.
Some of the features of the Schick Hydro® 5 Sensitive Razor are:
The Schick Hydro® 5 Sensitive Razor has five blades that are supposed provide a close smooth shave and there are skin guards to keep friction under control. There is also a hydrating gel reservoir with aloe and vitamin E to soothe skin while you shave. If you need to make a closer trim, there is a flip trimmer where you can expose all five of the blades easily, allowing you to trim in tight spaces.
So with great anticipation, I took out my new Schick Hydro® 5 Sensitive Razor and prepared for my morning shave. I began to shave and noticed right away some slight tugging that caused a little discomfort. As I continued to shave, this quickly dissipated. I believe that the hydrating gel reservoir had not really been primed adequately but as I shaved and it began to soothe my skin properly the comfort level of shaving improved greatly.
The five blades did a great job of delivering a nice smooth, close shave with very little effort. My experience was quick and efficient. As I got ready to shave my chin area and neck line, I found that I did need to flip the flip trimmer up to expose the blades. I had to do this because of the curvaceous area of my chin and the softer skin on my neck area to get as close as I needed. I am concerned that my neck area may be a little irritated because I had to use the flip trimmer over time.
All in all, I enjoyed using the Schick Hydro® 5 Sensitive Razor on my sensitive skin. I think they have a great product that will benefit men like me who experience razor burn and skin irritation when shaving. I am going to continue to use the product and I would recommend this, even with the couple of minor concerns that I had.
