Earn Cash Using Ebates

I had been meaning to give the website Ebates a try for quite some time. I’d read about the fact that Ebates paid you money back when you shopped online at stores you already use (and many more) but it wasn’t until I was recently searching for a Mother’s Day gift that I decided to try it out.

My mom had been hinting that she wanted this new handbag from Macy’s for a few weeks.   And I took her less that subtle cue that I should probably put this on my Mother’s Day gift list. My mom and I play this little hinting game around every birthday and gift-giving holiday every year. I take my responsibility to listen for her clues very seriously.

Anyway, as I said Ebates is a site that gives you cash back if you click through the links of the stores listed on their site. It’s really just that simple.

When you’re ready, search for the store you want to purchase from (like Macy’s in my case) just click on the store link from the Ebates page and it track you until you make a purchase up to thirty days.

Each store lists how much money you’ll earn back from your purchase. For instance, Macy’s pays you 3% of every sale made. You get money back for doing nothing other than clicking on your online store of choice from the Ebates page and then buying your items like you usually do.

Ebates has a relationship with more than 1,800 online stores for you to choose from. You can find everything from men’s, children’s and women’s clothing, accessories and shoes to home décor, electronics, toys and more. Each store lists its cash back percentage rate and oftentimes the rates are increased during special promotions, like Mother’s Day. Cash back rates can go for as high as 25%! That’s not too shabby.

So, I signed up for my free account on Ebates and I clicked on Macy’s and found not only the handbag my mom had been hinting at, but I also bought a couple of shirts for myself while I was on their site. I got them on sale and I got cash back! I made the purchase and within a day, Ebates had notified me that I had earned cash back.

I went back a couple of days ago and clicked on another online store that I often shop at (Belk). I bought a few things for an upcoming trip I’m taking and my cash was in my Ebates account by the end of the same day.

Once you click on the link to the store, and check out at the store, it’ll take 1-5 days to appear inside your Ebates account.

Once you’ve earned at least $5.01 you will be paid on the following dates: February 15^th, May 15^th, August 15^th, and November 15^th via a check or PayPal.
