Earn Cash Writing for Article Document

If you are looking for another way to monetize your writing or your social media channels, then Article Document might just be the site you are looking for.

Article Document is a platform I’ve been using for a couple of years to make extra money.  I began by taking writing assignments, but they have also added a “Simple Social Share” section that is essentially an influencer program where you can be paid to share information on your social media channels from their various advertising partners.

How do I begin?

  • Set your availability by providing what days you will be able to take assignments and the approximate word count you could handle.
  • Fill out your payment information, including your Paypal email.
  • Connect your social media accounts.

How do I qualify for writing assignments?

There are a couple of different paths to qualify for writing assignments.  To qualify for the best assignments you need to achieve Expert Writer Status.  To do that you can:

Establish your existing writing credentials or you can complete Brandbuilder assignments that will be evaluated by Article Document’s Editors.

If you have experience as a technical writer, in journalism or marketing communications, you can also qualify as an Expert Writer by uploading your resume and links to your writing samples.

Those with less writing experience can complete Brandbuilder assignments to improve writing skills and be evaluated by the platform’s editors.

Each writer is given a score of 1-10 that is based on a number of factors such as command of grammar, originality, style and logic.  The higher your score, the more paid opportunities you are able to get.

Writers can qualify as an expert in one of 50 plus industries, such as personal finance, food and drink, budget travel.  You can qualify as an expert for up to 3 industries.

Expert Writers are those with a writer rating of 9 or 10.  They are offered writing jobs at a fixed rate with increasing rates the more they write, and they can accept only those they wish to pursue.

Those who don’t initially achieve the writer rating for paid jobs can continue to qualify by taking on more Brandbuilder assignments.

What about Simple Social Share assignments?

When you sign up for an account, you can connect your Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts to the platform. Article Document evaluates your social media and assigns you a Brand Value score.  The score is based on your engagement rate and your follower count.

Once you have achieved a Brand Value score of at least 400 you are eligible to receive paid Simple Share assignments.

Simple Share assignments are just like any other influencer program. Assignments will detail what the third party would like for you to post and on what channels.  It also details what you are paid and the timeline.  You are free to accept or not accept any assignments that are available to you.

Conclusion

I’ve enjoyed using Article Document over the past couple of years to earn money by accepting some of their writing assignments. If you aren’t an experienced writer, this is a great site to test your skills and receive some very valuable feedback to improve.

For the past year, I have taken many Simple Social Share assignments because they are easy to complete, straightforward and usually pay pretty well.  Article Document pays writers once a month when they have at least $10 in earnings.
